Family Fun in Aruba!

Monday, February 18, 2013

After our friends left us we arranged a marina slip for Lazy Bones in Oranjested while we had a week on land with the family at the all-inclusive RIU Palace at Palm Beach Aruba.
Stunning views from our room!
We loved our play time in the pools
and our new underwater camera!
Tough life!
Getting a bit of daily exercise

Pina colada was the drink of the week!

The beard comes off this week!
About to set sail for the day on Lazy Bones MM

"How low can you go... how low can you go..."

Beach time!
Lots of Canadians in Aruba, eh!

Afternoon walks on the beach

Friendly lizards
Enjoying the different restaurants

We had a great time with the family in Aruba and it was so nice to be able to sail with them on Lazy Bones. We have a few more days here to provision and get ready for our three day sail to Santa Marta in Columbia, where we plan to spend a week before heading to the San Blas Islands in Panama!

You did a beautiful job of illustrating our wonderful week together Meg. It seems so strange to be home in cold and snow when only 24
hours ago we were basking in the hot sun together.

Ahoy from the Banana Belt of Canada. Enjoy cruising your great blog - stunning photos, and since we are just about to close on a L420 based in Belize, appreciate all the boat talk -the good, bad, and downright nasty. Our plan is to also cross the Pacific again (two previous trips under our belts to Oz)so will stay tuned with keen interest.
